Nancy Kaur, is the owner and director of Riverina Speech Pathology, Wagga Wagga. She is also a Practicing Member of Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) and has an extensive experience in clinical knowledge.
Nancy created Riverina Speech Pathology in 2010 after working in private practices in Sydney with both paediatric and adult caseloads. Nancy has had an extensive experience assessing and treating clients in English, Hindi & Punjabi with articulation, phonological, voice, fluency disorders, hearing & receptive/expressive language impairment. She also has extensive experience in literacy, as literacy skills go hand-in-hand with language development. Nancy has also worked with clients diagnosed with Fragile X, Pervasive Development Disorder, Down Syndrome, Autism, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS), Oppositional-Defiant Disorder, Emotionally Disturbed and Selective Mutism. In addition to peadiatric caseload, Nancy has provided diagnostic and therapeutic services for adults with aphasia, cognitive delays and other communication impairments.
From these experiences, Nancy created an ideal speech pathology service that is flexible, innovative and offers highly skilled speech pathologists. Most importantly, Nancy created a service in which people feel comfortable and are being heard. She has also ensured that the practice policies are in line with the clients needs.
Nancy is quite dedicated to staff & parent/caregiver training and support. She is also involved in providing lectures to medical students, general practitioners, dentists and other allied health professionals in Riverina Region.
Furthermore, Nancy is also involved in working with the Catholic Schools Office, by providing a specialist consultative and resource service including diagnostic assessments, reports, recommendations, educational strategies, trainings to teaching staff in program implementation and management for students with additional needs to ensure that appropriate levels of support is provided in schools.
